The unnamed {{Nihongo|'''Kempo FighterAmato'''|中国拳法家|Chūgoku Kenpō-ka|lit. Chinese Kempoistアマト}} is a [[:Category:Tertiary Allies|tertiary ally]] featured in the first part of the ''[[JoJo's Bizarre Adventure]]'' series, ''[[Phantom Blood]]''. He is a Chinese {{W|Kenpō|kempo fighter}} who originally tries to rob [[Jonathan Joestar]] in [[Ogre Street]] alongside [[Robert E. O. Speedwagon]] and [[Tattoo]].

The Kempo FighterAmato is a muscular man of short stature with a long chin and sunken cheeks. He has neck-length dark hair with a {{W|Widow's peak|widow's peak}} and wears long hair clips behind his ears. He wears a traditional Chinese martial arts uniform.

Little is known of the Kempo FighterAmato's personality, but he is prideful of his self-proclaimed martial arts techniques. Like his friends, he has a rowdy nature and is violent towards strangers who enter his gang's territory.<ref name="C8" />

As a thief from the dangerous alley known as [[Ogre Street]], the Kempo FighterAmato is known to attack strangers alongside his two friends. He claims that he knows mysterious Orientaleastern martial arts.

|Desc = The Kempo FighterAmato does a flying kick toward his opponent. According to him, it sends his opponents flying to the netherworld, implying that it's a strong attack. However, it can easily be countered if the enemy is not caught off guard.

Little is known about the Kempo FighterAmato, except that he is an Asian man from [[Ogre Street]] who at some point joined [[Robert E. O. Speedwagon]]'s gang. He is first introduced when he, along with Speedwagon and [[Tattoo]], ambush [[Jonathan Joestar]] during his journey to find a cure for his father's illness. Although he is prideful of his Orientaleastern technique, Jonathan quickly defeats him with a backhand punch to the face. Noting his race, Jonathan asks if he knows of an orientaleastern shop nearby that sells poisons.<ref name="C8" /> After Speedwagon's defeat, the Kempo FighterAmato is shocked to discover that his injuries are minor, Jonathanas havingJonathan held back in consideration of his family.<ref name="ch09">{{Ch|Chapter 9}}</ref>

After Jonathan's battle with [[Dio Brando|Dio]] at the [[Joestar Mansion]], he drives Speedwagon to the hospital where Jonathan is staying via {{W|steam car}}, bringing Tattoo and [[Speedwagon's Friend|another friend of Speedwagon]]'s]] along. The Kempo FighterAmato also holds the cane Speedwagon requires to walk on account of his injuries during the battle; Speedwagon initially disregards the cane before falling face-first onto the ground.<ref name="C17">{{Ch|Chapter 17}}</ref>

The Kempo FighterAmato appears along with the rest of Jonathan's friends to see off Jonathan and Erina as they leave for their honeymoon to America.<ref name="C41">{{Ch|Chapter 41}}</ref>

The Kempo FighterAmato appears in the game as part of Speedwagon's moveset and exclusive Style, {{nihongo|'''Ogre Street'''|{{Ruby|食屍鬼街|オウガーストリート}}|Ougā Sutorīto}}. When utilized, Speedwagon will temporarily summon [[Tattoo]] and the Kempo FighterAmato, who will follow him until they are either ordered to attack, hit, or separated far enough from him.

Using the move, '''Martial Arts, the Eastern mystery!''', the Kempo FighterAmato will attack Speedwagon's target with a triple kick combo, but will also attack the nearest opponent if Speedwagon is not locked on to anybody.

The Kempo FighterAmato appears in ''Diamond Records'' as part of Speedwagon's moveset, alongside Tattoo. In '''Action Battle''', he can be summoned to kick once or be summoned alongside Tattoo to help Speedwagon fight off opponents for a limited time. However, in '''Tactical Battle''' he can only be summoned to do single attacks. Amato also appears on his own as an enemy character.
