I sincerely don't understand. Why does Netflix and David Production have the gall place Stone Ocean Episodes 13-24's release in the Fall? The last two seasons are easily finished weekly during their runtimes, so why not Stone Ocean? I honestly don’t wanna hear those “dub multiple languages”, “more time to animate properly”, and the “COVID-19 Pandemic” excuses, because I’m sick of them being drilled into my ear. I want hard, cold, honest reasons of why thirds of Stone Ocean are being released in batches instead of the whole series being weekly! No excuses, no lies, no misinformation, and no agreements!
Stone Ocean is being produced as an ONA series (not a TV anime) like Baki, and those usually have a much different production schedule. Secondly, besides JoJo, David Production is currently working on other big-name projects, including Fire Force Season 3, Spriggan, and that new Urusei Yatsura anime. And I assume those are taking priority.
And, yes, I get that David does not make the publishing decisions etc. and they're the only one animating the stuff, I know it's Warner JP that made the deal with Netflix. But I just don't understand why they'd yield to such a deal.
