Bobby Jean
Bobby Jean (ボビー・ジーン, Bobī Jīn) is an antagonist featured in the ninth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, The JOJOLands.
He is an agent and investigator affiliated with the HOWLER Company, assigned to exterminate the group who viewed the original paper copies of HOWLER's land deeds. Bobby is also a Stand user, wielding Glory Days.
Appearance
Bobby Jean is a man with an average height and build. He has sharp facial features with thick, arched eyebrows, thin cheeks, and a mustache. He wears a bucket hat patterned with crosshair symbols all around it. He also has thick, long sideburns and a ponytail.
Bobby's outfit is a tight-fitted long sleeve shirt with long pointed collars and rectangular buttons. It has a ribbed hem and cuffs. The back of his shirt has a graphic print of three flowers. He also wears shorts, thigh-high socks, and shoes.
Bobby Jean carries a gun and silencer with him, hidden in the back of his shorts. It resembles an FN FNX-45 Tactical semi-automatic pistol.
Personality
Bobby Jean is a respected individual working for the HOWLER Company. He is shown to be somewhat private, sly, and blunt. He is not above bribery, as shown with him offering the Land Registry Office guard money in return for a "Hula NYAN Dancer" figure, and pressures him when rejected.
Despite his authority above others, Bobby Jean is bossed around by Lulu and at times pushed to doing her bidding.[1]
Abilities
Stand
Glory Days is a Stand that is either bound to Bobby Jean's gun or its silencer, capable of manipulating the trajectory and speed at which Bobby Jean's bullets are fired and strike his targets.
History
The JOJOLands
Inside the Hawaii State Land Registry Office, Bobby Jean reviews security footage with Lulu, which shows a disguised Charming Man, Usagi, and Dragona entering the building. Bobby questions a security guard, who confirms they didn't take photos of the land deeds and just looked at them. The guard explains they were likely students on a tour, possibly studying history. He speculates that Bobby's investigation might be linked to the HOWLER Company's alleged land frauds, suspecting the company is involved in illegal activities despite their claims of nature conservation. Bobby dismisses the guard's suspicions as highly classified information, mentioning he's off duty and just stopped by to check the security footage, curious about the unusual request to see original deeds.
Lulu notices a "Hula NYAN Dancer" figure on a shelf and begs Bobby to buy it for her. The guard explains it's a souvenir from over ten years ago, now rare and not for sale. Lulu dismisses his explanation, continuing to pester Bobby. Bobby reveals he's just babysitting her and offers money for the figure. The guard, uncomfortable with accepting money, offers it for free, but Bobby insists by slipping money into his pocket.
Suddenly, Lulu gets a nosebleed due to one of her Stand's bodies being destroyed. She points out there's no footage of the three "students" leaving the building. She highlights a van behind an ambulance in the footage, but Bobby notes the group arrived in a pickup truck. Lulu then identifies Dragona, Usagi, and Charming Man near the van. Bobby dismisses them as unrelated, but the guard recognizes Usagi as a boy who spilled cup ramen earlier inside the building. Lulu insists Usagi looks ill and is being carried by the others. Bobby doubts the footage could be faked. Unconcerned, Lulu declares that those looking at the deeds or being followed will die from accidents or illness. Realizing they're dealing with Stand users, she orders Bobby to check the traffic cameras.[1]
Bobby Jean and Lulu track the vehicle of their targets and find it in a parking lot. However, Bobby Jean is skeptical because the traffic cameras' footage shows a pick-up truck with a different license plate and completely different people from the state registry office's footage. Nonetheless, Lulu is convinced they're on the right track and wants to know what their targets are after. Nonplussed, Bobby tells her that they aren't paid to do more than pursue and eliminate the targets and their foes should die soon anyway from illness. This frustrates Lulu since she knows one of her Bags Grooves has been discovered and eliminated. When Lulu spots a flower ornament inside the van, she frantically demands to have the same and Bobby Jean promises to buy her one later to calm her down. He spots a hospital nearby and Lulu decides to go there, since she figures the targets will want to use an MRI to locate her Stand and heal themselves.
At the hospital, Bobby Jean and Lulu reach the B1 floor where patients undergo scanning. Bobby Jean receives a call from his boss, Acca Howler, who asks to talk with Lulu. Lulu finishes her call with Howler and points Bobby Jean to a group of teenagers standing nearby after noticing the matching flower ornament on Dragona's head. Despite having no proof of their identities, Bobby Jean nonchalantly takes out a pistol, puts a silencer on it, and fires on the group using his Stand Glory Days.[2]
