Chapter 51
Summary
Joseph quickly runs down the street to get some distance from Straits, but is stopped by a man named Brute. Brute tries to apprehend Joseph for destroying the Cafe, but Joseph easily incapacitates him with a kick to the face. Meanwhile, Straits, after full recovering from the explosion, takes after Joseph by jumping from the second floor.
Joseph and Smokey stop at the Golden Gate Bridge, assuming they were to able to escape. Smokey offers Joseph a smoke, but is cut short as Straits reveals himself on top of the bridge holding a reporter woman as a hostage. Straits threatens to hurt the women if Joseph does not comply to a duel. Joseph nonchalantly rejects the threat, mentioning that the he didn't even know the girl, nor was she of any relation to him. Straits ends up tearing a tooth out of the girl's mouth, which causes Joseph to go into an aggravated state. He rips his outer shirt off and commences a showdown with Straits on top of the bridge.
Straits begins by firing another ripper eyes beam, but Joseph anticipated the attack; pulling out two shot glasses, hes able to block one of the beams from his hitting his forehead and fires it back at Straits. Straits takes the blast in the head and launches himself at Joseph. Charging the ripple into his left hand, Joseph punches Straits in the face and ends the battle.
