The Wind, the Chariot, and Wamuu (story arc)
The Wind, the Tank, and Wamuu (風と戦車とワムウ, Kaze to Sensha to Wamū) is the eleventh story arc in Battle Tendency.
Summary
Lisa Lisa and Joseph decide to follow Wamuu's blood, and end up in a room full of Vampires and their Pillar Men masters. Lisa Lisa successfully bluffs Kars into thinking that the Red Stone will be destroyed if they don't return; Kars agrees to let Joseph go and keep Lisa Lisa as an hostage, for they will meet later at the Skeleton Hell Stone to fight each other for the possession of the Red Stone of Aja. When Joseph retrieves the Red Stone in Lisa Lisa's bagage, he sees a photo of Erina, Speedwagon and Straizo holding a baby from 50 years ago.
At the Skeleton Heel Stone, Joseph confronts Lisa Lisa, who admits that she is the baby in the photo. Then Joseph is explained the rules of the fights. The fight will be a chariot race and the winner will be the one to kill his opponent or complete the 3 laps around the arena. During each lap, weapons will be provided to the racers.
After a fierce battle, Wamuu is heavily wounded, having lost the use of his arm and a gaping hole in his chest, plus he blinded himself. However Joseph is tired and wounded as well, unable to use the Ripple. Wamuu uses his ultimate technique which consumates his body by sucking the wind at high speed, but Joseph manages to make him explode with a Molotov cocktail, and all that remains of Wamuu is his still living head.
