Bags Groove
Bags Groove (バグス・グルーヴ, Bagusu Gurūvu) is the Stand of Lulu, featured in the ninth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, The JOJOLands.
It is a long-range colony Stand that triggers automatically when its victims activate its trap, inflicting diseases on its targets.
Appearance
Bags Groove has a microscopic size, small enough to travel through blood vessels in a human body. It has a somewhat humanoid form wrapped in bandages which cover much of its body and head, giving it a mummified look. The head of the Stand resembles a helmet and has antennae ending in round bulbs. There is an opening for its thin eyes, which lack irises and are vertically segmented with lines. Below its eyes, the helmet has a downward-pointing arrow on the center of its face. There are also arrows extending from the sides of its face to its chin.
It has armor-like elements like a chestplate with shoulder pads. Additionally, it has sharp claws and three fingers. Its legs have knee pads, with the lower portion splitting into three legs wearing boots that are dark on top, making it appear as if it has dark toenails. On its back is a shield-like appendage pointing downwards, resembling an insect's pronotum. The center of that appendage wraps around the Stand's waist like a belt and the top of it is connected to the back of its head with a hose. It also has circles on the sides of its shoulders and hips.
Personality
As an automatic Stand, Bags Groove indiscriminately attacks anyone who would touch the object it is bound to. On occasion, the Stand emits a screech of "Bisshaa!" (ビッシャア)[1] or "Busshaa!" (ブッシャアアッ).[2]
Abilities
Bags Groove is a long-distance, automatic pursuit-type ability with a colony form. After Lulu boobytraps an object of her choosing, such as the original hard copies of HOWLER's land deeds held at the Hawaii State Land Registry Office[1] or pieces of a figurine in the security office of the Land Registry.[3] When another person comes into contact with the trigger object, a microscopic instance of Bags Groove automatically infiltrates their body.[3] It is not limited to a single victim either, as both Sophie White and Usagi Alohaoe begin to exhibit the symptoms of Bags Groove's attacks after they both touch the hard copies of HOWLER's land deeds.[1] As it is a remotely operated Stand, it is physically weak and slow; Charming Man easily catches up to it inside Usagi using Bigmouth Strikes Again on his own eyeball which he also uses to hold Bags Groove down without much difficulty.[1]
Lesion Infliction
With its microscopic size, Bags Groove damages its victim's internal organs and causes a series of symptoms that unless defeated will result in the victim's death. The external symptoms vary and progressively worsen based on the Stand's continuous attacks. Bags Groove's injuries are only permanent if it remains in its victim's body. If removed, the lesions can be repaired and the various symptoms it causes will go into remission.[2]
As an automatic Stand, Bags Groove follows a set procedure for its attacks.[4] It first travels to the victim's right lung where it makes a hole in the pulmonary artery to inflict a pulmonary edema, causing the victim to vomit up a cloudy fluid and obstruct their breathing, with victims saying it feels as if they are drowning; an emergency tracheal intubation will relieve these symptoms, restoring their ability to breathe.[1] The Stand may also cause its targets to break out in a rock-like rash on their necks.[5] Afterwards, Bags Groove travels toward the victim's brain through their blood vessels, eventually causing blood to spray out from the eyes,[1] at which point only magnetic resonance imaging would be a means to identify where the Stand is inside its victim's body.
In addition to coming into contact with the boobytrapped physical object, Bags Groove can also inflict its powers on others by coming into contact with it directly. When Charming Man uses his Stand to send his right eyeball into Usagi's body and then uses it to hold Bags Groove down, he begins to suffer from a sudden tumorous growth in his right eye socket;[1] he describes it as an average tumor which is painless, but it soon causes his health to deteriorate.[4]

Trivia
- The Stand's name can be romanized as either "Bags Groove" or "Bugs Groove". The former matches the song's spelling, while the latter is a pun which could fit the Stand's insect-like appearance and abilities.
