[[Straizo]] believes that the [[Santana|man in the pillar]] is the creator of the [[Stone Mask]]s, and that he must be ancient. [[Robert EdwardE. O. Speedwagon|Speedwagon]], contrary to what everyone believes, is still alive and asks Straizo why he did this. Straizo says he wants the power of the stone mask because he envies the eternal youth and powers of [[Dio Brando]]. After activating one of the stone masks, he becomes a vampire himself and sets out to find [[Joseph Joestar]]. He heads to New York in order to kill the last people who are aware of the power of the [[Stone Mask]].
