The {{nihongo|State of Hawaii|ハワイ州|Hawai-shū}}, formerly the sovereign {{nihongo|Kingdom of Hawaiʻi|ハワイ王国|Hawai-ōkoku}}, is located in the North Pacific Ocean, and comprises the {{nihongo|Hawaiian Islands|ハワイ諸島|Hawai-shotō}} archipelago, which includes the eight main islands called the "Windward Islands" and the smaller and more numerous {{w|Northwestern Hawaiian Islands}} or "Leeward Islands".

The {{nihongo|island of {{w|Oahu}}|オアフ島|Oafu-tō|''Oʻahu''}} is the most populated of the islands and the location of the state capital {{nihongo|{{w|Honolulu}}|ホノルル|Honoruru}}; as the state capital, several administrative buildings can be found in the city, including the {{nihongo|[[Hawaii State Land Registry Office]]|ハワイ州土地登記所|Hawai-shū Tochias Tōkijo}}well as institutions like [[Pearl General Hospital]]. Honolulu is also the home of [[Barbara Ann Joestar]] and her children [[Jodio Joestar|Jodio]] and [[Dragona Joestar|Dragona]], who unbeknownst to their mother have integrated in the city's criminal underground. It has two international airports, one of which is {{nihongo|{{w|Kona International Airport}}|コナ国際空港|Kona Kokusai Kūkō}}, named after the nearby neighborhood of {{nihongo|{{w|Kailua-Kona, Hawaii|Kailua-Kona}}|カイルア・コナ|Kairua Kona}}. The upscale jewelry boutique [[Diamotch]] is located in a shopping center in Kailua-Kona. [[Charming Man]] and his brother [[Mauka]] are from the Big Island, with Mauka having disappeared in the lava tubes of the {{nihongo|[[Hualalai|Hualālai]]|フアラライ山|Fuararai-san}} volcano, itself on [[HOWLER]] property. The manga artist [[Rohan Kishibe (The JOJOLands)|Rohan Kishibe]] has a [[Rohan's Villa|villa]] on the island as well, having travelled there to examine the [[Lava Rock]]s of Hualālai.
