I'm just a guy that loves JoJo's Bizarre Adventure with all my heart.
Designer student aspiring for animation and Brazilian.
I got to know JoJo from the PS4 game J-Stars Victory VS+ and tried reading the manga out of curiosity. However, I was too accostumed to regular shonen manga to understand its appeal. I saw that realistic Victorian England, no superpowers or incredible fights, so I just dropped it right after the Dio mansion fight.
A couple of years later, around 2014, a friend of mine told me to at least try the anime, and so I did. Right off the bat, the very first episode was enough to intrigue me into going all the way, with its color palette changes, wacky exaggerated drama and incredible sound design and voice acting.
I went on to watch it up to Stardust Crusaders and waited (im)patiently for the release of Diamond is Unbreakable, but when it did release, I couldn't handle the one week wait between the episodes, so I started reading the manga, going all the way to JoJolion.
Today, it's by far my favorite piece of art and media ever.
Just to clarify, I love every single part A LOT.
Also, I love the beginning of JoJolion, but I still haven't processed the ending half of it enough to reach a satisfying veredict, so I'm abstaining it from the list for now.
