B.T.

B.T. (ビーティー, Bītī) is the main protagonist of the Cool Shock B.T. series, as well as its one-shot pilot, B.T. "The Wicked Boy". Although B.T. are his initials, his real name is unknown since Koichi Mugikari keeps it a secret.

He is a clever yet quite malicious boy who befriends Koichi. With his smarts, B.T. fights against all manners of bullies but also commits his own crimes.

B.T. makes a return as the protagonist of the spin-off Cool Shock Old B.T., which is set decades after the original series. He is also the protagonist of the 2024 reboot manga.

Koichi Mugikari

Koichi Mugikari (麦刈 公一, Mugikari Koichi) is a primary ally featured in the Cool Shock B.T. series, as well as its one-shot pilot, B.T. "The Wicked Boy".

He is an ordinary boy who befriends the malicious B.T. and tags along with whatever adventure the latter has.

Koichi makes a return in the spin-off Cool Shock Old B.T., which is set decades after the original series.

Manabu

Manabu (マナブ) is a recurring antagonist featured in the Cool Shock B.T. series. He appears in "The Eerie Freckled Boy Incident" and as the main antagonist of the spin-off Cool Shock Old B.T..

Manabu is a cunning and devious boy who purposefully lets himself get bumped by the Mugikari Family's car. Using their guilt, the freckled boy invades their house and exploits their generosity. B.T. develops a particularly bitter rivalry with him.

Cool Shock B.T. (Reboot)

Cool Shock B.T. (魔少年ビーティー, Mashōnen Bītī, lit. "Devil Boy B.T.") is a one-shot manga written by Juichiro Hitsujiyama and illustrated by Yuta Matsutani, with storyboard composition by Ao Suzumemura. It is a modern reboot of the original Cool Shock B.T. series by Hirohiko Araki.

The one-shot was first announced on February 1, 2024 in the March 2024 issue of Saikyo Jump, and was published in the April 2024 issue of Saikyo Jump on March 4, 2024.
