Heritage for the Future ★ Proud Lineage Joseph
Proud Lineage Joseph (誇り高き血統ジョセフ) or simply "JoJo" in the English localization) appears in JoJo's Venture as an unlockable secret character. Joseph's sprites resembled his older counterpart's attire, but this was changed to mirror his design from Battle Tendency in Heritage for the Future.
His Story Mode in JoJo's Venture has him simply face off enemies until reaching Shadow Dio, with no storyline involved. In Heritage for the Future, it becomes a what-if sidestory if Joseph encounters Alessi, turning into his Battle Tendency incarnation, and fighting some allies in the process, before facing off Alessi himself and reverting to his normal form, albeit with a little regret of becoming old again.
Moveset & Gameplay
The younger Joseph's moveset is based primarily around his clackers, alongside a few gadgets from Battle Tendency. Young Joseph is a fairly simple rushdown character, with good zoning tools. Though he lacks a Stand, Joseph has a lot of exceptional pressure tools in his kit, and very simple combos. Young Joseph's main gimmick are his Clacker Boomerangs, his primary offensive and zoning tool. He is also able to run instead of dash.
