Imposter Captain Tennille

Captain Tennille (but in actuality, an impostor of Captain Tennille) is the name of an enemy stand user of Part III, Stardust Crusaders. His character is named after the 1970 musical duo Captain & Tennille, famous for their hit single "Love Will Keep Us Together". He uses the stand known as Dark Blue Moon, after the Tarot card "The Moon".

Story

He appears on a boat that Jotaro Kujo and company have taken to go from Hong Kong to Singapore. After Jotaro and Runaway Girl are attacked in the water by a mysterious creature, Jotaro has become suspicious of the crew members and believes one of them may be a Stand user. Joseph Joestar insists that the Speedwagon Foundation had checked his credentials, but Jotaro decides to find out if one of them is the culprit anyway by playing a bluff on them. Captain Tennille immediately falls for it, and reveals that he is actually an imposter Captain Tennille, and that the real Captain Tennille is dead. He then drags Jotaro into the water with his stand Dark Blue Moon, where they fight in a vortex. Jotaro defeats him, but in a last ditch effort, Captain Tennille blows up the ship, leaving them to meet their next Stand encounter, Strength.
