Welcome to my profile!

Hello there! I'm Blobert1747 and this is my profile! I started reading JJBA on May 21st, 2020 and so far it's a really fun series to read. I'm currently reading Steel Ball Run and, although it feels kind of different compared to the other parts, I'm sure I'll like it eventually. I've heard good things, so I'm not dropping it now. So far, JJBA is the second longest series I've ever seen from start to finish, the first being One Piece, which I am also a big fan of.

I started watching anime about 3 years ago and knew practically nothing about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I had never heard about it until I really got into the anime community, where several memes and people's recommendations were about JoJo and how good of a series it is. Seeing how many people recommended it, I decided to try and watch it to see what was happening, and I got up to the first few episodes of Battle Tendency before dropping it out of boredom. At the time, my memory wasn't the best when it came to watching any kind of shows, so I'd forget important events or pieces of information very quickly, so by the time I was watching Part 2, I didn't really know what was happening. Eventually, I'd come to try JJBA for a second time, and this time I almost finished Part 2, but I dropped it again right around when Caesar Zeppeli was about to go inside the mansion to fight Kars.

A long time passed after that, then in May of 2020, I decided to start reading the manga instead of watching the anime, taking my previous attempts of watching it into account along with my recent interests in reading manga. The art style for Phantom Blood took me by surprise because I hadn't read a manga series that had so much detail before, so I really enjoyed reading through Parts 1 and 2. Then, once I begun Stardust Crusaders, I knew that was where it would get really interesting because I would actually know what stands are and what they do. Originally, I only knew what they were because of memes and clips of DIO and Jotaro Kujo using their stands in combat, but once I knew more about what stands were everything was 10x more enjoyable, especially in later parts like Vento Aureo and Stone Ocean, where some of my favorite stands are used in combat.

Here Are Some Of My Favorite Characters In The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Universe

Joseph JoestarLink to this section
Joseph Joestar is the first JoJo I really started to like while I read the manga. He was really cool in Battle Tendency, but I especially liked him during Stardust Crusaders because of his goofy, but still badass, nature.

Josuke HigashikataLink to this section

Josuke Higashikata is the third JoJo I enjoyed because of the contrast between him and Jotaro and the JoJos before him. He's just your average high-school student with a crazy powerful Stand that can fix broken objects trying to protect his town from a serial killer. You know, the usual.

Thanks to Okuyasu, I say Josuke's name in reverse (Higashikata Josuke)

Jolyne CujohLink to this section

Jolyne Cujoh is the fourth JoJo I liked, and is the main reason I begun reading JJBA. She is my favorite JoJo in the entire series because of her looks and how cool she is. Her stand, Stone Free is also one of my favorite stands.

I said she's the fourth JoJo I liked, but she's actually the first. She's my number 1 favorite character in the JJBA universe.

Lisa LisaLink to this section

Lisa Lisa is a really cool character in Battle Tendency that I enjoyed seeing because of how powerful she was. Compared to other characters, she may not be that strong, but back then, with Ripple and all that stuff, she was quite a badass.

Jean Pierre PolnareffLink to this section

Jean Pierre Polnareff is a really fun character in Stardust Crusaders and one of my favorite crusaders. He's really compassionate and somewhat gullible, but that's what makes him such a fun character. His reappearance in Vento Aureo was also pretty cool.

I usually just say Polnareff, but I put his full name because why not.

Okuyasu NijimuraLink to this section

Okuyasu is basically Polnareff x10. He's a goofball and a super dense person, but when push comes to shove, Okuyasu won't back down from a fight. His reappearance after he 'died' was also pretty great.

Narancia GhirgaLink to this section

Narancia is a lovable idiot. He has his moments, but for the most part, he's a good guy who gets the job done. His stand, Aerosmith is a pretty neat stand, and the way he summons it is really cool.

Guido MistaLink to this section

Mista is a awesome guy who can get the job done as long as there isn't any 4s. He always has this tough look going on, but every now and then he's just vibing and has a smile on his face. Out of the entire team, Mista is my second favorite, with Bucciarati at number one. Him and Trish Una's interactions at the end of Vento Aureo are adorable. I love them both.

Number 5 is best boy.

Bruno BucciaratiLink to this section

Bruno is probably the best character in all of Vento Aureo. He's compassionate, a strong leader, and an awesome person. His fight with Secco is the coolest thing I've seen. Watching the clip of Sticky Finger's barrage against Secco was so good, I've replayed it several times. I honestly love this guy and his stand. They're really cool.

Ermes CostelloLink to this section
Ermes is a realy fun character in Stone Ocean because of how cool she is. Every time she's in a panel she's doing something awesome or just looking good.

Foo FightersLink to this section

Foo Fighters is the best character in Stone Ocean because she's such a fun and happy character. SpoilerI wish she lived longer. She would've loved to be outside of the prison walls, even if it was just for a small amount of time.

Weather ReportLink to this section
Weather Report is another one of my favorite characters because he's a really nice guy with a cool stand and a tragic backstory. Weather's stand is one of the many stands that I really enjoy, and his backstory hit me by surprise, which is why I like Weather so much.

Characters with sad backstories usually fly up the ranks in my "Favorite Characters" list

I've been reading manga for a while now, since September of 2019, and have read a lot of different series, a lot of which are really popular and I just jumped on the bandwagon. Below are some of those series, along with some series I watched before reading, like One Piece.

Here are some other series that I enjoy watching/reading
