Dio's Diary is an item Jotaro found after the events of Part 3:Stardust Crusaders . The diary has a major role in Part 6: Stone Ocean being a vital clue to attain heaven along with Dio's Bone .

When Jotaro encounted the diary he considered it dangerous enough to destroy it. However, his memory disc held the neccesary information to fullfil Dio's Ambition.

The contents of the diary remembered by Jotaro are the followings:

"What you need is my stand.THE WORLD , What you can find beyond the powers of my stand is where you need to go in order to find 'Heaven' what you need is a trustworthy friend . He must be someone capable of controlling his own desires. He must be someone who is not interested in political power, fame, wealth, sexual desires... and must be someone who chooses the will of god before the laws of humans. Will I, DIO , be able to meet someone like this one day? What i also need is the lives of more than 38 humans who have sinned. that's beacuse those who have sinned harbor a strong power within. There ara 14 phrases that one must keep in mind: A ghost Town Singularity point(x2) hydrangea rhinoceros beetle (x 4) pear tart Secret emperor giotto angel via dolorosa spiral staircase I'll engrave this words onto my stand so i won't forget them. What it most neccesary is 'courage' I must have the courage to destroy my stand momentarily. My stand as it dissintegrates, will absorb the souls of the 38 sinners and will give birth to something utterly new . Whatever is born will 'awaken'. It will show interest in the 14 words thst my trusted friend will utter... My friend will trust me and i will become his 'friend'. Lastly, i need an appropiate location. North latitude 28 degrees 24 minutes, West longitude 80 degrees 36 minutes... Go there and wait for the new moon... That's when 'heaven' will come.. ."

Trivia

  • It is unknown how Dio obtained the knowlege about the recipe to attain heaven or how he could use his stand to create a new lifeform.
  • Oddly enough, if the recipe is correct, Dio's bone actually retained some of his stand in order to create the green baby.
