Chapter 2
Summary
George welcomes Dio into the Joestar home as a son and expects him to get along well with Jonathan. Jonathan has forgiven Dio for kicking Danny earlier concluding that he might have done the same had a strange dog suddenly jumped at him. He moves to help Dio with his luggage only to have Dio twist his arm and say that he would have the servants do it instead. Even though Jonathan says he only wishes to be friends, Dio impresses son him that he would be fist in everything and that Jonathan had better not look down on him.
George makes it a point to raise the boys as gentlemen, instructing them in things such as book studies and table manners. Dio is able to outshine Jonathan easily.
On another day, Jonathan and Dio have a boxing match against each other in which the winner takes the allowance of the other. Jonathan throws many punches, but to no avail as Dio is able to easily dodge them all. Dio then begins to punch at Jonathan, using his thumb to push into Jonathan's eye. Jonathan's friends soon take a liking to Dio, which to him is just another step further into isolating Jonathan. Jonathan struggles to get up and says how bad his eye hurts.
