As [[Enrico Pucci]] and [[Donatello Versus]] discover the latter's Stand ability, [[Jolyne Cujoh|Jolyne]] and [[Ermes Costello|Ermes]] finally arrive at their hideout. Chasing the priest into a mysterious hole, the two heroes find themselves inside [[Under World|the memory of a crashing plane]], with only minutes remaining until the explosion.

In the hospital, Pucci looks at a fish flan dish and tells his companion, a man named [[Donatello Versus]] to taste the dish and tell him whether it contains shellfish. Donatella tastes the dish and lists the ingredients, but finally tastes the sauce and deems it made with scallops. Pucci also wants to examine Donatello's body from up close and confirms a few data, notably some similitudes between them. Donatello asks what powers he possesses and says that he feels someone approaching, but Pucci is not worried. While Jolyne and Ermes are in the corridor, Pucci speaks about the vagaries of Fate. Donatello suddenly sees a hand and a face coming out of the fish flan. The one coming out of the flan seems to inexplicably be the child from earlier, who reveals that it was his father who shot him, and a bullet bursts out of the child, shooting through the bedroom's door and hitting the father. Jolyne notices it and looks inside the bedroom with Ermes.

Looking at a newspaper, Jolyne reads the date "July 21st, 2005". Looking through a window, she also sees that she is still underground somehow, and catches a glimpse of Pucci, Donatello and his Stand. Donatello sends his Stand [[Under World]] to cut Jolyne's string, prompting her to call Ermes for help. Ermes finally hears Jolyne and pulls, making Jolyne go through the hull of the plane. Jolyne is able to attack but Under World phases through the earth to avoid the attack. Under World tries to cut the string but Jolyne sends a pen she's stolen right into Under World's neck, making it retreat. Pucci advises Donatello to back down and let Jolyne flee so that they can stay in the hole until the new moon, but this secretly annoys Donatello. Ermes pulls Jolyne towards the surface but she suddenly sees [[Sports Maxx]] on the string. Maxx taunts her and grabs Ermes, pulling her in. Maxx explains that the soil remembers everything from individual deaths to entire catastrophic events, and he explains that Under World can bring back those memories to the surface. Ermes punches Maxx but she falls together with Jolyne. Thus, the two of them find themselves inside of the plane. Trapped, they hear the stewardess announce that they will crash soon. Jolyne tries to threaten the stewardess but she's horrified to see everyone starting to burn. Indeed, Ermes remembers the incident and realizes that they are about to relive this memory.
