[[Will Anthonio Zeppeli|Zeppeli]] tells [[Jonathan Joestar|Jonathan]] that the only way to beat a [[vampire]]—or a [[zombie]], in this case—is to destroy the brain completely. [[Jack the Ripper]], still alive, jumpsgrabs toonto grab athe sword embedded in the tunnel's ceiling. He pulls it down, revealing a secret passage that he then runs into. [[Robert EdwardE. O. Speedwagon|Speedwagon]] is afraidput ofoff followingby Jack,the andprospect [[Williamof Anthonioentering Zeppeli|Zeppeli]]the says that they have to pursue himpassage, but [[JonathanZeppeli Joestar|Jonathan]]insists willthat gothey alonemust follow Jack. Zeppeli startsthen to telltells Speedwagon athe story of a braveCaribbean anglerfisherman he had once met. One day while he was out at sea, whohis fishedboat inwas watersattacked withby sharksa overgiant tenshark metersthat tall.had Oneplagued day,the sharkswaters attackedfor hissome time. His boat, was destroyed and hehis fellfoot intocaught in the seawreckage. In a bold move, he severed his own leg with his fishing spear. Thisand thenused attractedthe a sharkwound to hisbait locationthe andcreature, heallowing usedhim thisto askill athe trapshark.The sharkAs attemptinga to eatresult, the angler’sfisherman severedbecame legthe became onehero of the angler's greatesthis catchesvillage. Speedwagon, now understandingasks Zeppeli, asks if Jonathan will be able to finish his challenge., Zeppelithe replieslatter by sayingreplying that ifshould Jonathan failsfail, he willwould not be able to defeat [[Dio Brando|Dio]].▼

Jonathan searches the maze-like passage with a torch. Unfortunately, because of the structure of the passage, some places are too dark to see, torch or not. Nearly too late, Jonathan realizes that the torch makes him an easy target, and the zombie ambushes him with a torture device shaped like a giant rib-cage. Jonathan barely manages to escape the trap, receiving several cuts along his arm and nearly spilling the wine. Jack the Ripper vanishes into the darkness. Jonathan extinguishes the torch in an attempt to avoid giving away his position again, but quickly realizes that, without the light, he cannot tell where Jack is hiding either. Though he attempts to conceal his presence, Jack is already aware of Jonathan's position due to the smell of blood coming from his cuts.
▲Zeppeli starts to tell Speedwagon a story of a brave angler he once met, who fished in waters with sharks over ten meters tall. One day, sharks attacked his boat, and he fell into the sea. In a bold move, he severed his own leg with his fishing spear. This then attracted a shark to his location and he used this as a trap.The shark attempting to eat the angler’s severed leg became one of the angler's greatest catches. Speedwagon, now understanding Zeppeli, asks if Jonathan will be able to finish his challenge. Zeppeli replies by saying that if Jonathan fails, he will not be able to defeat Dio.
 
As Jonathan is about to round the corner, when he suddenly notices a ripple in the wine he's holding. Jonathan realizes that this is the reason why Zeppeli gave him the wine glass. The wine hasacts a rippleRipple inside of itdetector that showscan wherebe Jackused is,to whichsense meantlife thataround thehim wineand glasspinpoint detectedthe life aroundzombie's itlocation. Jonathan uses the Sendo [[Ripple]] Overdrive technique to attack Jack through the wall. The attackRipple makes contactconnects with his face, burning offJack the leftRipper's half of his face entirely and thushead, killing him.▼
Meanwhile, Jonathan is searching the maze-like secret passage with a torch. Unfortunately, because of the structure of the passage, even with a torch it still has dark corners and spots. Suddenly, Jack the Ripper comes from nowhere with a strange instrument of torture, shaped like a horses ribcage. He tries to trap Jonathan in it, but he misses and breaks a pillar with it instead, cutting it into circles of rock. He vanishes into the darkness. Jack's weapon has cut Jonathan in several places along his back and arm, and he almost spills the wine because of this. From this narrow miss, Jonathan deduces that Jack is targeting his torch. He extinguishes it in an attempt to catch him by surprise, but quickly realizes that without the light, he cannot tell where Jack is hiding. His attempt to conceal his presence proves futile because Jack, hiding just around the corner, can smell Jonathan's blood from the cuts he gave him earlier, and Jonathan is approaching his hiding place.
 
Back at the entrance to the passage, Zeppeli and Speedwagon hear the cry of the dying zombie. Zeppeli remarks that Jonathan must have figured out what the wine was for and that the "North Wind" appeared to have made a "Viking" out of him after all.

The wine has a ripple inside of it that shows where Jack is, which meant that the wine glass detected life around it. Jonathan uses the Sendo Ripple Overdrive technique to attack Jack through the wall. The attack makes contact with his face, burning off the left half of his face entirely and thus killing him.
