[[Jonathan Joestar|Jonathan]], Speedwagonwho andhas theenveloped policehis officers[[George areJoestar I|deceased father]] in awea ofdrape and aid on a table, [[Robert E. O. Speedwagon|Speedwagon]] and the factpolice officers are shocked that [[Dio Brando|Dio]] is alive and well after having been pierced by several bullets earlier. Speedwagon tellsproceeds to tell the police to shoot Dio again; Jonathan too has pickedpicks up a pistol and points it at the monsterDio telling him to stop his approach.

Though Speedwagon urges Jonathan to shoot the monstrous Dio, he is ultimately unable to pull the trigger. As the [[vampire]] closes in, Speedwagon himself shoots a bullet through the right side of Dio's head,. however,However thisthe doesbullet notdoesn't killdo him,any damage or even slow him down. Dio then gloats that the [[Stone maskMask]], hasand [[George Joestar I|George Joestar]]'s blood have given him incredible power,. whichJonathan helpsponders JonathanDio's towords, realizewondering thatexactly how the stoneMask maskhad hechanged hadhim beenand if studyingthat mayhad haveindeed causedbeen somethe transformationcause withinof Diohis transformation.

Dio, thenhaving jumped to the ceiling and hanging on it, pierces the forehead of another police officer with his fingers and proceeds to killdrink his blood, draining his life. He then throws the man into the rest of the police officers, who are killed and indismembered by the process,impact. oneOne of the officer’sofficer's legs flieshits intoSpeedwagon Speedwagon’sin the arm and breaks it. Seeing the destruction wrought by the now inhuman Dio, Jonathan thenadmits that he is terrified by this new power; but since it was his Mask and research that gave birth to it, he has to be the one to end it. He takes athe spear from a suit of armor in the foyernearby, preparingand prepares to fight the now inhumanly powerful Dio Brandovampire.
