De prime abord, Shigechi peut paraitre être naïf et lent d'esprit au vu de son comportement enfantin et du fait qu'on le voit d'abord simplement collecter des petites pièces avec son Harvest. Il mentionne qu'il lèche aussi des timbres et autre autocollants pour savoir si le goût de la glue diffère selon les autocollants, et garde un chewing-gum collé sur une photo de sa mère pour la mâchouiller plus tard.

Cependant, les plus gros défauts de Shigechi sont sa cupidité et son avarice. Lorsqu'Okuyasu a trouvé un ticket de loterie gagnant, il ne supporta pas l'idée de devoir partager le prix de 5 millions de yen avec Josuke et Okuyasu et leur prit le chèque, menaçant de les tuer si jamais ils le poursuivaient. D'ailleurs, Shigechi ne recula pas à exercer de la violence, notamment en essayant de déchiqueter les jambes d'Okuyasu et voulant percer les yeux de Josuke. Même après qu'ils se réconcilient, Shigechi reste assez pingre et il hésite grandement à prêter ne serait-ce que 1000 yen à ses amis, notant scrupuleusement ce prêt pour qu'on le rembourse plus tard. Il est très possessif envers son repas, même si ledit repas est un sandwich très prisé. S'il est généralement poli envers les adultes, Shigechi devient plus agressif et belliqueux à partir du moment où il pense que Kira lui a volé son déjeuner. Shigechi avait aussi l'habitude de se servir dans la réserve de café et de thé d'un professeur de son collège pour avoir des boissons gratuites.
 
Enfin, Shigechi a une fierté tordue. En effet, il est très facilement flatté et les compliments lui montent à la tête. Le fait que Josuke et Okuyasu lui ont dit qu'il était malin de penser à chercher des pièces perdues à travers la ville lui fit penser qu'il aurait été assez intelligent pour penser à rassembler des coupons de magasins pour collecter encore plus d'argent, ou même qu'il aurait pensé à collecter des tickets de loterie potentiellement gagnants. D'un autre côté, Shigechi est facilement vexé lorsqu'on l'insulte. Quand Okuyasu le traite de demeuré et de glouton, Shigechi le prend très mal, au point qu'il devient particulièrement violent contre Okuyasu. Shigechi a très confiance en sa capacité de combat, au point d'être arrogant. Quand il combat Josuke et Okuyasu, il prétend que son Stand est invincible. Lorsqu'il confronte Kira, il fait la même erreur et affronte le tueur en série sans essayer d'abord de connaitre ses pouvoirs, ce qui mena à sa perte.

Suivant ce Stand mystérieux jusqu'à un parc, il épient Harvest déposer leur butin aux pieds de Shigechi, qui se félicite d'avoir eu l'idée de chercher des pièces. Shigechi voit alors Josuke et Okuyasu, qui ne savent pas encore s'il est un manieur de Stand malveillant ou non, mais à leur surprise, Shigechi sourit et les salue. Shigechi se présente, lui et son Stand. Quelque peu impressionné, Josuke complimente Shigechi sur son plan d'amasser des pièces, ce qui rend Shigechi si content qu'il donne à Josuke et Okuyasu la moitié de son butin, car ils sont désormais amis. Okuyasu veut bien prendre cet argent, mais Josuke insiste qu'ils ne profitent pas (trop) de sa naïveté. A la place, Josuke propose à Shigechi un nouveau plan pour amasser encore plus d'argent grâce à son Harvest puis de partager ce butin là en trois.

Shigechi fut le second personnage jouable téléchargeable en DLC à être annoncé pour le jeux vidéo. Même s'il est techniquement dans la catégorie manieur de "Stand" en terme de style de combat, Shigechi ne peut pas rappeler Harvest et ne peut pas faire de "Stand Rush" comme les autres manieurs de Stand.
 
Le bouton "Style" sert, pour Shigechi, à changer de posture de combat. Il peut prendre une "formation offensive" ou une "formation défensive" qui dicte quelles sont les attaques spéciales auxquelles il peut accéder. Shigechi a 900 HP.

La main appartient à une femme que Kira a tué et Kira jouaient avec ladite main.
 
Koji est le premier à rencontrer Kira mais meurt presque, avant que les frères Nijimura n'arrivent à la rescousse. Kira arrive cependant à s'échapper et force l'esthéticienne {{JJ[[Aya Tsuji (JORGE JOESTAR)|Aya Tsuji}}]]{{Universe|37|Aya Tsuji}} à utiliser son Stand [[Face/ Off]] pour qu'il échange son apparence avec un [[Chien Kunimido|passant inconnu]].
