Caesar's Lonely Youth (2), originally Caesar's Lonely Youth in the WSJ release, is the eighty-ninth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the forty-fifth chapter of Part II: Battle Tendency.

Summary

At the age of ten, Caesar's father, Mario Zeppeli, abandoned his family, despite being considered a trustworthy and loyal family man. Caesar was distressed by his father's abandonment, and all the money he was left with was stolen by Caesar's second cousin. Afterward Caesar became very violent and was sent to a poorly operated orphanage. Caesar later ran away, becoming a dangerous criminal, committing countless crimes (but never murder). What truly made him dangerous was his Ripple ability that he was unaware of at the time. One day Caesar saw his father, and followed him into the basement of the Colliseum. Caesar found the wall containing the Pillar Men, and touched a gemstone embedded into the wall. Mario pushes Caesar away, getting absorbed by the wall in Caesar's place. Mario, unaware that he is facing his son, tells Caesar to report his death to Lisa Lisa and that the men in the wall will soon awaken. After being told this, Joseph now understands Caesar's desire for immediate action, and decides to join him in the fight.
