Chapter 65
Summary
After Caesar flamboyantly sits his self down at the table, he and Joseph start up a game of cards. Both end up being caught cheating and start to argue with each other, but Speedwagon interrupts and asks why they've been waiting around for 8 hours. He is quickly answered as a moment later a car arrives to take them to the other pillar men. Caesar explains that he had formed a alliance with the Germans, due to their interest in the ripple and finding a way to kill the Pillar men. He introduces the driver as a young German soldier by the name of Mark, who was going to marry his girlfirned the following week.
The group arrives at the famous tourist attraction, "The mouth of truth", secretly the entrance into the cave where the pillar men sleep. Upon entering, they stumble upon the wiped out corpses of the other german soldiers, which causes Mark to run away in fear. Suddenly, the pillar men appear walking towards Mark, but he does not have enough time to get out of the way and walks right into Wamuu. Wamuu absorb's half of Mark's body, causing him to bleed immensely.
