Chapter 43
Summary
As Jonathan collapses onto the ground from Dio’s Space ripper beam Erina catches him as he falls coming into the room at just the right time. Dio though remarks that he expected Jonathan to try to dodge his attack since it was so close to his head. In addition, Erina recognizes Dio and to make matters worse she finds that Dio has already brought zombies onboard the ship with him!
Worse still because of his neck wounds Jonathan cannot speak or use the ripple to help Erina. Wang Chun realizes this and asks Dio if he can take vengeance upon him by beating him while he is down but Dio rejects this saying that Chun should make his death quick and painless.
Acknowledging this Wang Chun goes to finish Jonathan but in a last effort to repel Chun Jonathan summons the last of his strength to send one final Ripple into Wang Chuns body. This causes Chun to fly backwards into the ships screwshaft.
Jonathan having gained the ability to speak again briefly because of his final ripple tells Erina that the ship will explode but Erina simply says that she wants to die with Jonathan.
