Yoshikage Kira is a mysterious antagonist of Part VIII: Jojolion.

About

Little is currently known about this character. Apparently he was a marine surgeon who was once acquainted with Sasame Ojirou a long time ago. He was found dead in the wall eyes where the Jojolion Protagonist was found.

Appearance/Personality

He is a fairly tall individual with black hair who wears sailor suits. According to Sasame Ojirou, he has very beautiful hands, even having sculptures in their form at his house.

He also spoke in a rather confusing and insulting manner, wondering whether surfers were people of the sea or people of the land, and insulting Sasame by berating this uncertainty.

Stand

His Stand power remains unknown at this time (or if he even has one), but he was able to convince Sasame Ojirou, who was in a drunken stupor and high at the time, to eat all the fingers on his hands.

Real identity

The real identity of this character is unknown. The second chapter stated that the Jojolion Protagonists' name could be Yoshikage Kira, but later he shows doubts about it, thinking that the enemy in the upper room is the real Kira. It is later revealed that he is not Yoshikage Kira nor is the man attacking him, he has no known name at this time and is given the name Josuke Higashikata by the father of Joushuu Higashikata.

After the protagonist's struggle with Daiya, he eventually enters the forbidden room. In there he finds a family tree that reveals Yoshikage Kira as the son of Holly J. Joestar and Yoshiteru Kira, making Kira a direct decendent of Johnny Joestar, one of the two protagonists of Steel Ball Run.

Trivia

  • In Chapter 3, when the Jojolion Protagonist and Yasuho visit his apartment, other references to the original villain can be found, such as bottles of nail clippings and a portrait of the Mona Lisa. Kira also bears the distinctive wavy lock of hair that hangs from the original Kira's head.
  • Interestingly, where the Jojolion protagonist is said to have four testicles, Kira in JoJolion was said to have none.
