Chapter 18
Summary
Late at night, a couple is seen walking down an empty street in London. The woman mentions she read in the news that the lady killer known as Jack the Ripper has been going around murdering women lately, and she is afraid of running into him. The man she is with asks why she would be terrified if she's been talking to him the whole time. The women is confused at first, but he reveals that he himself is Jack, and stabs her to death.
Dio appears from behind him in a wheelchair pushed by the zombie Wang Chan. Most of Dio's body is wrapped in a cloak, and part of his face can be seen, burnt from the fire. He tells Jack that he is interested in him, to which Jack replies by stabbing Dio in the face. Dio is unaffected and tells Jack that he needs servents.
Dio goes into a flashback explaining that if it hadn't been for a pillar that fell onto the statue of Venus he was impaled down, he wouldn't have made it out alive from the fire. He promises Jack that if he joins him, he shall receive magnificant powers. Jack agrees to Dio's offer and is turned into a zombie.
Back at the remains of the Joestar Manor, Jonathan is looking for the Stone Mask among the rubble. He's concerned that it wasn't destroyed in the fire, but decides to give up in order to enjoy his time with Erina. Erina hands him a cane and the two go for a stroll.
Along the way, Jonathan turns around and notices a strange man dressed in a suit and top hat leaning on a fence behind them. The man quickly runs behind a bush after being spotted. Jonathan turns to face forward, but somehow the man is now sitting in front of him on a wall eating a sandwich. Jonathan is surprised. The man quickly jumps into the air without moving from his sitting position and impales Jonathan in the chest with his pinky. A moment later, Jonathan's right arm is completely healed from injury, something that should have taken months to heal.
The man reveals himself as Will Anthonio Zeppeli, and claims that Jonathan could not defeat the Stone Mask with bravery alone.
