Tamami Kobayashi is a fictional character from the Japanese manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The character is portrayed as an antagonist of Koichi Hirose. But later becomes Koichi's friend.
Story
Tamami is first introduce to the story as a normal man who sees Koichi run over a bag which splatter with blood. As he talks to Koichi we begins to see the nature of his character. As he advised Koichi and upon him refuses he shouted that he has no other way as the bloody bag contain his cat. And demands money from Koichi claiming he is not a criminal so he just take some money and go. Upon Koichi questioning him about why he place a cat inside a bag in the middle of the street Tamami dismiss this saying the detail and not important and claiming Koichi must be feeling evil inside for his action. This the first time we see his stand, The Lock. As it name implies it is a lock which formed over the person heart and grows as they feel guilty. Tamami explains he got his powers 4 months ago from Keicho. We also are shown that he hopes to use his powers to gained money and never work again. When the gang shows up he tries using his power on them. It works on Okuyasu who punches him and break his teeth and feels guilty for it but Josuke reveal that it was no cat just a doll and heals Tamami removing the guilt from Koichi and Okuyasu. At this moment Tamami return the Koichi but bows to get revenge. When we next see him he is at Koichi's house and talking to his naive mother. As he explain that he is here to give Koichi's wallet we see that he is lying to his mother and claims that Koichi has his wallet which he pick up by mistake with 500, 000 yen inside of it. When Koichi's mother doesn't believe him, he tells her that there is a stub of the burger place he when to. Upon Koichi looking inside of it, there it is! Which causes her mother to feel guilty and the Lock is place on her. As Koichi's sister walks into the room we see she too has a lock its a this moment that Koichi loses it and attack Tamami. At which points he makes fun of him causing his stand to activate. Instantly Tamami is disgusted with the nature of it and as it attack him, Tamami points out it doesn't hurt it all. And explain a stand speed and power is equal to that of it's owner brain and calls Koichi slow its there that his stand power activate driving Tamami inside. As sound keeps repeating himself, over and over again. Frustrated that he is been bested by a kid Tamami takes and a knife and cut himself and then throws it at Koichi all while screaming. This causing his mother and sister to rush back into the room and they fall into the highest level of the Lock and are about to commit suicide when Tamami says he free them if Koichi frees him from the sound. Koichi says no and gambles with his mother life by using his stand Echoes' power to make the sounds of his word over his mother heart. This destroys the Lock as she believes in Koichi. At once Tamami knows he is been defeated. From there own he respect and fear Koichi calling him Boss Koichi. When we next see him, he is waiting for Koichi and Josuke to tell them about his illegal business and how through them he discover the next stand user Toshikazu Hazamada. When Koichi shows a mature attitude Tamami says he is move and will respect him as Boss Koichi for the rest of his life but will not help anyone else. Tamami would see the Surface copying Josuke look and believe him to be him so he approaching not knowing Toshikazu was there. As a frighten Tamami ask why he was with Toshikazu, the Surface bashed him with a cinder block and left his body hiding between the leaves. It took a month for him to heal his injuries.
