The Lovers (2) is the one-hundred-sixty-first chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the forty-eighth chapter of Part III: Stardust Crusaders.

Summary

To prevent Enya Gail's death by Dio's bud spore, Jean Pierre Polnareff slices its tentacles with Silver Chariot, but it is too late. While Enya struggles to keep herself alive, Joseph Joestar asks what's the ability of Dio's stand, trying to convince her to tell him by saying how Dio never trusted her. Enya, however, denies Steely Dan is actually working for Dio, as her master would never betray her. Polnareff says that he had mixed feelings for Enya, but he's sure Steely Dan must die. Steely Dan, however, acts like nothing is happening and sits to drink a cup of tea, telling them he can't be touched. He is, however, interrupted in mid-sentence by Jotaro Kujo, who constantly hits him with "oraora" punches. As Steely Dan flies away with the attack, so does Joseph without any explanation. Steely Dan pays a kid to hit him with a broomstick, at which Joseph feels more pain. It is then revealed that Steely Dan's stand, Lovers, had been inside Joseph's brain the whole time, paying back for every damage its user suffers. The kid hits Steely Dan again, but is paid back with a punch to the face from a angry Steely Dan, who tells him he never paid to be hit twice.
