Spin

The Spin is an ability shown in Part VII: Steel Ball Run and utilized by its main protagonists Gyro Zeppeli and Johnny Joestar. Developed by the Zeppeli Family in the alternate universe, the Spin is the counterpart to the Hamon of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure original universe.

History

The Spin is a technique involving the use of momentum and throwing force, allowing objects in trajectory to have a spiraling effect, through the mathematical principle of the Golden Rectangle. This spiraling effect is the basis and key principle in the Spin, allowing the utilized object, in contact with a living human, to have many ranges of effect on the human body. From this, the Spin has been long studied as a human anatomical corrective and medical treatment by the Napoletani Zeppeli family line, renowned as doctors throughout Italy.

In addition to its capabilities and uses for treatment and healing, the Spin also has its uses for destructive and defensive purposes, as the Zeppelis are hired in turn by their government to provide an honorable and clean method of execution for criminals through their use of the Spin.

Utilization

While many objects can be used to manifest the Spin, Steel balls have been shown and stated to be the best tool to manifest the Spin due to their shape and dynamics. Johnny's stand Tusk has also been shown to manifest the workings of the Spin through its powers.
