Soft & Wet
Soft & Wet (ソフト・&・ウェット) is a Stand featured in Part VIII: JoJolion. Its user is Josuke Higashikata .
Its name is based on Prince's very first song, Soft and Wet. [1]
Abilities
Plunder: When it is summoned, the birthmark bubble explodes and S&W appears. According to Josuke himself, the stand's main ability is to "Steal something from that thing and take it for itself". This can be used in objects and living things as well; for example: when Joshuu tried to attack Josuke , the bubble exploded close to his eyes, making him blind for a few seconds. In the hospital he was able to puncture holes in a woman, then drain her from the water in her body, after which she got thirsty. It's ability can even affect sound as Josuke uses Soft and Wet to steal sound from a wall before destroying it.
Trivia
- According with the illustration, its standard color scheme is white with purple traits.
- Its humanoid shape is similar with Josuke's appeareance. (Both of them are athletic and share the sailor traits as the Anchor and the bolts of Josuke's uniform.)
- It has a resemblance to Johnny Joestar's stand Tusk. Since both stands have an android appeareance and have stars in its body. But its eyes and facial structure more closely resembles Killer Queen, the stand of the original Yoshikage Kira.
- Is one of the few stands in the JoJoverse, which is born from its user's body (the first being Rubber Soul's stand Yellow Temperance).
- Also is the second stand that appear from a Joestar Birthmark, Jolyne was the first.
- The Stand's battle cry is the same as Star Platinum's since it also cries out "Ora" multiple time after attacking.
- Apparently, S&W's ability can't be used on its own user. This is a reference to Josuke's Crazy Diamond Restoration ability.
