母親がカゼをひいたので、ぼくに「悪いけど、（近所の）お医者さん行って、お薬もらって来てちょうだい」とお使いをたのまれた。ぼくが待合室で待っていると、先生が出てきて―。
「さ！ 荒木君、そでをまくって注射するから」
「え！ ぼくじゃあないよ！」
「うそだよ」
すごく恐ろしかった。でも、とても面白いと思った。これがマンガ家になるキッカケだったと今、思う。
