Rauch is a Romanian manga written and illustrated by Ark "Blues" Nemesis. It originally released on Webtoon and Cubari in 2023. After reaching the most popular manga of April 2023 on Shueisha's MANGA Plus Creators section, it began serializing monthly on MANGA Plus.
A fearsome threat by the ominous name "Rauch" approaches Earth while a fractured Legend of The Past emerges once more to provide the planet one last hope...
Summary
We are introduced to the scene of Rauch, The Destroyer, looks onwards to earth. Planning on destroying it, a spaceship flies in his direction. In the spaceship, a lonely pilot looks at a meaningful picture while awaiting for Rauch to attack him. The spaceship has a nuclear bomb inside of it, to kill Rauch. Rauch charges up an attack, but is stopped by a protecter slowly being assembled from stones. The protector threatens Rauch with annihilation of his existence. Rauch shoots the spaceship, the protector does not stop him. Believing he has destroyed the spaceship, he claims that the deed has been done. Rauch notices that the protector has not left. The protector absorbed the impact of the attack from Rauch, saving the pilot and ship. The protector warns Rauch one last time, Rauch taunts him.
Rauch is immediately put in a chokehold by the Protector for his comment, the Protector loses his grip but keeps up with Rauch. As the protector summons a spear and attacks Rauch while he tries to charge up a counter-attack. Though he hits Rauch in the shoulder, he is shot with Rauch's attack, leaving him to crumble into pieces. Rauch begins explaining how he would've died if he had been any bit slower. Rauch, now with nobody to stop him, begins boasting about his victory.[1]
Though Rauch boasts about his victory and glory, he states he feels unsatisfied with his fight, claiming it wasn't a "fair fight". He notices that the space shuttle was further away than he remembered, remembering that the ship was closer to the protector. He notices that the Protector has vanished, and begins panicking. He begins stressing in confusion and realizes he's freezing, but before he even realizes what happened, he already froze.
We are shown the story of a girl born from a family of high nobility, wishing for life to shine it's light all over her. Her prayers were even met in the cold depths of space, and her wish came true. Something from outer space fell into the sea, that something was the Protector. The Protector heard her call and decided to heed it, leaving his own plane and adopting his father as the sky and mother as the sea. The Protector adopted the girl as his bride, the girl realized her love was so out of reach, it even reached space. Realizing she was out of her reach, she didn't pursue love with him.
The Protector returned to his plane again, time passed, and the girl begged for his love once more. He was aware,

In less than 2 weeks after release of chapter 1 of Rauch, it reached over 200k views on Manga Plus's Creators section, getting to #1.
