Reception
Due to negative reaction from fans and Hirohiko Araki himself, the film was never released on any home video format.
No official information was announced regarding the reason as to why the film was dropped. However many fans who saw the film have noted their opinion as to why the film was so poorly done. The main reasons include:
- The character, Robert Edward O Speedwagon, one of Araki's favourite characters, was removed from the story entirely.
- The characters Poco, Diar, and Straightz were also not featured. No fight occured between the protagonist and Tarkus and Braford, as they were already dead.
- Diar does NOT throw the hamon rose.
- The concept of Hamon was not explained clearly.
- The movie was too short (Approx. 90 minutes)
- Overall condensed and basically "destroyed the original story."
