Hot Pants is a character featured in Part VII: Steel Ball Run.
About
Hot Pants is a young woman starting out as a competitor in the Steel Ball Run (race), all while posing as a man. She had early successes in the race, once even placing first, before it became apparent in the story that her true goal was not athletic victory but to find the 'corpse parts'. Her reasons for this, and her past are connected to the Civil War stand (volume 15, chapter 56).
Trivia
- She speaks in a very masculine manner (moreso than Gyro and Johnny) in Japanese, which helps her convince people to her role as a man.
- Her name, "Hot Pants," is spelled ホット・パンツ in Japanese. The パンツ part is the Japanese pronunciation for "pants," but is also the Japanese word for "panties," causing a pun which mirrors her character.
- Contrary to several characters in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series, such as Jolyne and Anasui Hot Pants looks much frailer in her later appearances than in her initial appearance.
