Funny Valentine
Funny Valentine is the main antagonist of Part VII: Steel Ball Run and the 23rd president of the United States in the Steel Ball Run universe. He is a former soldier, discharged after being tortured during a war where he found the saint's heart.
Steel Ball Run
Valentine first appears riding on a train with Stephen Steel, where it is revealed that he is using the race to collect the scattered remains of Jesus Christ from across the United States.
He kills Axl Ro during his first face-to-face encounter with Gyro and Johnny, before stealing the Corpse Parts from them.
He discovers when Lucy disguises herself to look like his wife and is nearly killed when he tries to rape her. Saved by his stand, he pursues Lucy, only to discover she had absorbed the body and was pregnant.
Despite his use of the "Dimensional Wall" created by Lucy's Stand, Gyro still manages to leave him dying with the cavalry spin (Super Spin). Although he finally beats Gyro, he knows that Johnny can kill him with the same technique. That is why Valentine tries to convince Johnny to let him live in exchange for bringing over a Gyro from another dimension. Meanwhile, he uses his last moments to find a worthy heir in a closer dimension, finding a new Diego that seems ideal for this task. Finally, Johnny defeats Valentine after seeing through his lies, but not before the president brings Diego to complete his objective.
Appearance/Personality
Originally, he is introduced as an old, stout man. After absorbing the torso of the saint, he gains a large muscular build and a more handsome appearance. He will attain the corpse parts by any means, sending assassins to eliminate Gyro for the purpose of retrieving the Saint's body.Stand

When Lucy developed a Stand, for some reason he could use her Dimensional Wall to protect himself from others. This protection combined with the dimensional power of his own stand made him nearly invincible.

- He has numerous scars on his back which are traces of when he was tortured during war. The scars resemble the Stars and Stripes.
