Santana, having been turned to stone, was taken by the Speedwagon Foundation to their headquarters in Washington D.C. There, his corpse was maintained using a new ultraviolet light technology and was kept under heavy surveillance. After careful experimentation, Speedwagon and the scientists discovered that Santana was not dead, and meraly preserved in a stone-like state. The scientists seem relieved, but Speedwagon releases the information he had obtained from Stroheim and a picture of the cave where Santana was initially discovered. On one of the walls, 4 Stone masks could be seen, indicating that were were 3 more pillar men in Europe. Using the inscriptions on the wall, and a conversion of the Mexican calender, they discover that the other pillar men would be awakening on the current year.

Having flown to Rome, Joseph is seen enjoying an Italian dish "Spaghetti Di Nero", but not before being interrupted by a man serenading a women at another table. In utter disgust for couth men like that, Joseph attempts to fuse some of the noodles from his pasta with the ripple and flings it towards the other guy. Suddenly, the man is able to catch the noodles with his own fork and pasta and quickly redirect the noodles back towards Joseph. Joseph quickly holds his wine glass up, as the noodles pierce straight through it. Joseph is left in awe as a member of the Speedwagon Foundation walks in, he later discovers that the other suave fellow across the room is none other than Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, the one they travelled to Rome to meet.
