Chapter 56
Summary
Joseph learns from Donovan that Speedwagon is still alive and being held in a Nazi base. Joseph begins sheding tear of joy, but noticed Donovan trying to escape and ties him to a cactus.
At the Nazi base, Joseph attempts to sneak in by dressing as a showgirl. He walks up to the guards at the gate with two bottles of tequila during a body check. Due to his muscular stature, he is immediately discovered and held at gunpoint. Joseph quickly uses the ripple on the tequila bottles, causing the corks to pop out and hit a palm tree nearby. The coconuts in the tree fall down and hit the guards in the head, temporarily dazing them. Joseph uses this moment to kick them in the face and render them unconscious. After which, he quickly puts on one of the guards uniforms.
Back in the Nazi base, Santana had suddenly vanished from the room he was being secured in. Confused at how this was done, Stroheim orders them to stop the oxygen flow into the room and play the film that was recording the events. On the film they see Santana running towards the wall and then suddenly begins shapeshifting. He manages to squeeze himself through a metal grate, and starts travelling through the air duct.
