User:DetetiveLC
Greetings, I am DetetiveLC; you can call me L.C., Detetive or Detective. I'm not a detective though, I just like being called like that. My goal here is to expand the wiki in the brazillian portuguese language – principally in Stands and JORGE JOESTAR pages – but I'm available for updating any kind of information about JJBA I'm capable of.
About Me
How I discovered JJBA
Before getting into it I saw some memes like To be Continued over here and there, but never actually cared about knowing their origin. Later, my friends started talking about JoJo — specially Stands — and I fell in love with the concept of it. I started reading every single Stand page in here, and, after reading The World's, I easily grew the interest in watching JoJo.
Later I also checked on the manga, and also certified to finish on Steel Ball Run and JoJolion as well. I wish I could forget everything and watch JoJo for the first time again. I stared at Araki's artworks for hours just to copy them on paper; therefore, I started practicing and applying some aspects of his drawings on mine. I love how he draws zoomed out characters, it's funny.
JORGE JOESTAR
I guess the fate that induced me to read it was pretty similar to many other people's ways as well: I saw a Tik Tok video about
I got into some site and started reading it. I admit, the story is not easy to read or understand, but it has a lot of charm into it and its level of non-canonicness really lures you to not drop it off.
I love Maijo's artworks as well; they're not rich in lineart techniques, but his anatomy skills are pretty decent and easily understandable in fewer lines than usual. The white-to-black gradient he inserts in backgrounds and large objects is also a sweet detail/signature.
Since then, I've adopted Jōji as my avatar for life; he's just too cool. His jacket's design is something I really enjoy for some reason. It's just weird how the undershirt's pattern changes to GIOGIO sometimes; it doesn't make much sense. Actually, the second half of the story doesn't make much sense.
Things I didn't like
DIO being the final villain is too predictable and not exciting at all. There are more open questions and characters Maijo could've explored, but I think he was already taking too much time to finish the novel. It's sad how Araki made only one illustration for it, not even tailpieces!
Also, why do Bounds exist anyway? It's a concept never explored anymore in the story; it's useless(MUDADA MUDA!!!). Couldn't Maijo just say that Soundman was born with a Stand like
Dune's ability is too similar to The Fool's. In fact, most of the Stands in JORGE JOESTAR have too boring abilities. Only the main ones are slightly exciting. Now, thinking twice, the Ultimates kinda suck, not gonna lie.
Abilities
Stand
East Bound and Down
Energy Boost
East Bound and Down initially appears as an emerging train whistle from the head of its user. The whistle boosts the user's physical performance, using the burnt energy as a turbo fuel to the body, like an engine.
Train Manipulation
When any object with at least two wheels finds itself in East Bound and Down's range of 25 meters (82,021 ft), — if the user wishes — the whistle will evade and the ghoul of East Bound and Down will possess the vehicle.
In this form, East Bound and Down's range becomes infinite, since it can travel the whole world.
The vehicle then will turn into a train, that the user can control telepathically materializing rails as East Bound and Down moves. It can ride over walls, but not ceilings. In this form, East Bound and Down can reach up to 200 kph (124,274 mph). When East Bound and Down's spirit leaves the vehicle, it returns to its original form.
Final Words
Yeah, I think that's all I have to say. When I get creative or inspired to update my experiences and opinions related to JoJo I'll come here. I could also type in some stuff not about JoJo, maybe more about myself. Not planning to make this a diary...
