About me
Intro
Hello! I'm slowerdancer.
I began watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure in early 2022 after someone once asked me, "When you hear JoJo... do you think of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure or JoJo Siwa?" This random question somehow enticed me to learn more about and eventually watch the show. I've been an avid fan ever since.
I've actually known about the series since I was a child, watching "To be continued" compilations on YouTube and seeing lots of references and memes about it, but never knowing where they came from.
I discovered the JoJo Encyclopedia after looking up character references whilst making fan art, after which I started using the site regularly.
My original username was dazed.gloom, but I changed it to slowerdancer. I also joined the Discord server in February 2023, but I switched from my alt account to my main account in June of that year.
Translation work
German JoJo fans are certainly not rare, which is why I was a bit surprised to find out that there were no pages translated into German at all. So, in February of 2023, I decided to do some translation work for a number of reasons. Not only did I want to make it more accessible to German speakers, but I'm awfully bored a lot of the time and do most of my translation work when I have nothing better to do.
Interests
I'm quite passionate about art and drawing, and that may be what I'm most well known for. I mainly make JoJo fan art. I draw both digitally and traditionally and post some of it on my Instagram.
I have a relatively large manga collection, and I plan to have a very international one at that! I own the part 1 - 3 volumes in German, parts 3 - 5 in English and part 7 in French. My goal is to complete my collection of the JoJo series in these 3 languages.

My first language was Russian, after which I learned German in kindergarten and later English in elementary school. It was while studying French that I really fell in love with the hobby of learning different languages and improving my skills and knowledge in them.
