Title of Works The titles of works must be italicized if they are stand-alone works. This includes books, legal cases, movies, magazines, newspapers, albums, and plays.

If the title of the work is part of another collection of works, enclose it in quotation marks. Examples of this include articles from a news source, short stories from a book, and songs in an album. Note that a song can be a stand-alone work if it's a single.

Capitalization The JoJo Wiki has several words that should be capitalized when used in articles. These include:
  • Character Names
  • Stand Names
  • Group Names
  • Chapter Names
  • Episode Names
  • Location Names
  • Attack Names
  • Generally any proper noun

There are also specific words that pertain to the series that must be capitalized. These include:

  • Ripple
  • Stone Mask
  • Pillar Men
  • Stand(s)
  • Spin
  • Rock Humans
  • Locacaca
  • JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Perspective In-Universe:
The synopsis/history section of all articles should be written as if they are set in the JoJo Universe. Phrases such as "In XX episode" or "In Part XX" should generally be avoided.
Paragraph Structure
  • There is only one format to be used on the site, which a simple paragraph format. The formats of other styles including tiered or numbered styles are too complex and prone to disorder and are not supported here.
  • Please refrain from adding ambiguous content to the articles. While there is possibly more reason to believe where the information is going to lead, until confirmed it is not supported. In other words while we as users may have a reason to logically believe where a story is going or what someone in the story will do, we in fact do not know until it has happened.
Punctuation Possessive Nouns:
  • Singular possessive nouns should always have an apostrophe and "s" at the end (Ex: Jotaro's). This includes singular nouns that already have an "s" at the end (Ex: Ermes's).
  • Plural possessive nouns that have an "s" at the end only require an apostrophe (Ex: Wall Eyes'). If they do not end in an "s", add both an apostrophe and "s". (Ex: Pillar Men's)

Oxford Comma:
The Oxford comma should be added before "and" or "or" at the end of a sentence. (Ex: Jonathan, Joseph, and Jotaro)

Verb Tenses By default, articles are written in present tense - these include characters who died before and during the continuity. History sections should also be in present tense as events described along with the story.

If an event is described to have happened in the past or is shown in a flashback before the present continuity, such as a character's background before the story begins, then the section must be written in past tense.
