Stroheim's Determination is the sixtieth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the sixteenth chapter of Part II: Battle Tendency.

Summary

As Joseph rips Santana in half he starts explaining further that Santana’s absorption only absorbs individual cells giving the illusion of fusing with his target. Joseph also says that only using the ripple before actual digestion began saved him. Finished explaining, Joseph thanks himself for his win, but then Santana’s upper body springs up revealing that it is still alive! Santana reaches to grab Joseph but he counters with a knife on a chain wrapping up Santana with it, thinking that he will simply pull himself back together as Straizo did.

In addition, while Santana is incapacitated Joseph calls to Stroheim and asks if Santana is weak to the sun and Stroheim confirms this. Joseph opens the door to the outside and starts pulling Santana out towards the front door by the chains. However, Speedwagon notices Josephs breathing is sligtly off and Santana capitalizes on this by shoving Joseph away. Nevertheless, Joseph still holds on determined to destroy Santana but suddenly he sees Santana is pulling him back with the “Meat invade” technique by breaking up his body and pulling Joseph back. Joseph continues to fight Santana’s grip but then Stroheim realizes Joseph cannot fight Santana’s grip forever so he goes to open the door. However, Santana tries to stop this by extending some of his entrails to absorb Stroheim starting with his leg. Stroheim tells Joseph to use an axe on the wall to cut off his leg. Joseph initially does not want to do this but Stroheim tells him it is the only way to stop Santana. So Joseph complies reluctantly and Stroheim reaches the door and opens it!
