The Two Rings is the twelfth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the twelfth chapter of Part I: Phantom Blood.

Summary

Dio goes crashing through the window behind him after being shot multiple times by the police. A moment later he is laying on the ground outside surrounded by broken glass. He is presumed dead, but his face is still covered by the stone mask. Back inside, Jonathan is still holding onto his dying father who had been stabbed by Dio. His father holds up his hand and reveals Jonathan's dead mother's wedding ring. One of the officers begins cursing himself for not having stopped Dio from being adopted long ago. Apparently back when he first became a police officer, they had arrested Dario Brando for having attempted to sell George's ring during the carriage incident. George told them that Dario was innocent because he still believed that he had saved his life. He tells the policeman that he probably would have done the same thing if he had been born to a life of poverty, and let's Dario keep the ring. Back in the present, the officer curses himself again, saying that he should have just punished Dario, so that none of this would have happened.

George passes away, only after telling Jonathan that it isn't so bad to die in his son's arms. Mourning spread throughout the room, but Speedwagon claims that Jonathan will be the one will inherit the fortune and become the new Joestar head. He looks to the window and notices Dio's corpse is gone. All that is left is the stone mask. Panicked, Speedwagon tells the officer to get away from the window and search the place for Dio's corpse. It is too late as a hand swoops down from above the outside of the window and rips the top of the officer's head off. It is Dio, who is somehow upside down and clinging to the wall outside. He appears to be alive.
