Reimi Sugimoto (杉本 鈴美, Sugimoto Reimi) is a key character featured in Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable.

About

One of Yoshikage Kira's early victims, Reimi is a ghost choosing to stay on earth in hope of finding someone to help her bring the man who has killed her and countless young girls to justice. She is named after Emily, a ghost girl that inspired Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd to write a song called "See Emily Play". Reimi is an annagram of the name Emily. Reimi= Emiri= Emily. Her name was also changed to begin with "Rei" because that is japanese for spirit, which is exactly what Reimi is!

Arnold

The ghost of Reimi's pet dog, who notably has a huge gash across his throat dripping with blood. Arnold remains by her side as she bides her time in the alley. He later defends her from Kira. Arnold is also named after an early era Pink Floyd single, "Arnold Layne".

Trivia

  • The story she tells about the night she died is pretty much a direct lift of the old "Humans can lick too" horror story.
  • From being read by Heaven's Door; Her three sizes are 82-57-84, there's a mole on the side of her left nipple, her first period came when she was 11 years and 9 months old and the first time she kissed a boy she got the tongue put inside.
