Vanilla Ice appears in Diamond Records as a playable character in both the Action Battle and Tactical Battle game modes. He has a few unlockable statues under the 'Courage' type, ranging from 3 stars to 6 stars. Vanilla Ice's moveset in both game modes is comprised of various attacks inspired by the anime, using his stand Cream. As a vampire, Vanilla Ice constantly regenerates health, but has a weakness to attacks from ripple users. Playing as Vanilla Ice will force any outdoor stages to take place at night time.

Vanilla Ice's basic attack string is a combination of up to five various basic strikes using Cream. In Tactical Battle, this is cut down to only three hits.
Vanilla Ice hides within Cream and burrows himself underground, repeatedly emerging and going back down in various different spots, damaging every opponent caught. In Tactical Battle, this damages all opponents present on the stage.
Vanilla Ice hides within Cream and flies back and forth in the air, repeatedly damaging any opponents caught. (Unlockable)
Vanilla Ice hides within Cream and burrows himself underground, emerging underneath the nearest opponent, damaging them. This attack replaces SP Skill 1 in Vanilla Ice's 3 star statue.
Assist
Telence T. D'Arby appears in Diamond Records as an assist character. He has one 'Tactical' type 3 star assist statue. As a 3 star assist, Telence does not appear in gameplay and only functions a as stat boost for the playable statue he is equipped to. However, like all assist characters, he may provide extra effects to the player based on active assist links (Action Battle mode only).

Although Telence does not appear in actual gameplay, the game's internal files contain various assets suggesting that a functional 4 star assist statue may have been in the works. However, this never came to fruition prior to the game's end of service.
Unused Animations
Telence and Atum both have a number of animation files hinting at an in-game assist ability. The animations in question are codenamed "bet" in reference to Atum's ability, making it possible he might have had a chance based ability similar to Daniel J. D'Arby's assist.
