Category:Characters by Power Source

Characters separated by their corresponding power source. Through the series many characters used different powers respective to the parts they were featured:

• The Hamon, used to fight creatures weak to sunlight by focusing the sun power into attacks through breathing, is mainly used by the heroes of Part I: Phantom Blood and Part II: Battle Tendency. It also is briefly used on Part III: Stardust Crusaders.
• The Stands,  are the main power source of nearly all characters following Stardust Crusaders.
• Those who fight with a different method are classified as Others/Strange Powers.

Races:

• The Vampire race and their natural-granted abilities, acquired after someone turns into one, are the main power source for the antagonist Dio Brando and a few of his minions.
• The Zombie race is used by the minor henchmen of the vampire Dio.
• The Pillar Men is the superior race of the antagonists in Battle Tendency.
