Thomas Inbert : So, are you gonna ask the comedian to dress like the characters ?
Alan Aubert-Carlin : Yes of course ! *laugh* and also posing, the famous Jojo poses
T.I : Yes that's it, because yeah what is Jojo's trademark of this Anime and manga are the Jojo poses and their clothes.
A.C : Because I think the the creator if I'm not wrong is a fan of fashion and pop culture, so it's full of references, which is super interesting .
T.I : And music.
A.C : Yeah music too, that's what is also heavily criticized in the french dub or the subtitles, it's the Stands's names, who are real references to music bands, and I find this pretty cool.
T.I : A question about it, in France you weren't able to put the real Stands's names.
A.C : No sadly.
T.I : And can you explain to us why ?
A.C : Yes, because of copyright, and I want to precise, since you let me do it, I see a lot of people who are criticizing the client, Kazé, Crunchyroll saying " Yes but if they don't have the rights to uses those names, why making a french dub ?"
But be careful, it's not Kazé who didn't managed to get the right, it's the Japaneses, who told us " No, You aren't allowed to uses those names, it's a Japanese exclusivity". It's not that we could fight to have the rights, it's just that the Japaneses, well it's "niet" and it's the Japaneses who force us those names, Zipper Man and such. Of course we would have preferred to say Sticky Fingers, Aerosmith or Spice Girl, we aren't going to spoil, you'll see in part 2, I was shocked I couldn't say Spice Girl Wannabe for Trish.
I've found it excellent, it killed me of laughter, but yeah there is a small thing that change sadly. It's neither our or the client fault, it's the japaneses. So you need to write in Japanese *laugh*, We can only do the best we can with what we are given.
