Picked Up Something Bad! (1), originally The Stand Laughed! in the WSJ release, is the three hundred fifteenth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the fiftieth chapter of Part IV: Diamond Is Unbreakable.
Summary
It has been a month since Jotaro Kujo's coming to Morioh, and Koichi Hirose recaps the aftermath of Josuke Higashikata's fight with Akira Otoishi. Akira has been found guilty of stealing millions of yen worth of goods and has been sentenced to three years of prison. Moreover the Bow and Arrow have been secured by the Speedwagon Foundation.
Meanwhile Josuke has difficulties ajusting himself to Joseph Joestar's presence. Their relationship as father- bastard son is awkward, and Josuke requests that Joseph only sees Tomoko Higashikata from afar as to not upset her. Moreover Josuke doesn't feel any love toward him and tells him to leave Morioh after he sees Tomoko, which Joseph sadly accepts. After Joseph unwittingly takes a bus to Sapporo and Josuke has to run after it, they find themselves on the side of an isolated road where Joseph feels something pulling his trousers, then his cane being taken from him. Joseph tries to warn Josuke that there is a Stand user nearby, but the youth dismiss him, thinking he is going senile. He follows the small handprints on the ground, until a wild dog snarls at the invisible being, and Joseph uses Hermit Purple to grab it. When it begins to cry, Josuke and Joseph discover that the latter is holding a baby.
