William de Gotland, also known as the Virtuous Friend of the King is a posthumous tertiary character featured in the short movie STAR BALLAD.
The topic of his statue located near the house of Heart Passion leads to Karamell Heaven telling William's story as an example of a virtous life.
History
Background
William was a farmer. He married a peasant girl Beatrice and had ten children with her. Only one of them survived the infancy. He and his family died during a war over land in Italy. Later, a statue in his honor was raised, known as the statue of the Virtous Friend of the King.
STAR BALLAD
During their talk, Heart Passion mentions to Karamell Heaven that he lives near the statue of the Virtous Friend of the King. She tells Heart assion the story of William. When he asks what was so virtous about him, she states that "He was a common man. Devout in faith."
