Victory Lines
Evil Incarnate DIO (邪悪の化身ディオ, Ja'aku no Keshin DIO) or Shadow DIO in the English localization, appears as a playable character in the Capcom games. He was part of the original roster in JoJo's Venture as a secret unlockable character.
Moveset and Gameplay
In the game where Active Stands are prevalent, Shadow DIO is a passive Stand user. He can deal a lot of damage with full offensive attacks without an Active Stand via a solid amount of frame-traps and pseudo-disjointed pokes with his silhouette-version of The World, even though he lacks the more defensive and utility-type traits of having an active Stand. His Stand attacks are effective as surprises, and capable of juggling and/or short bread-and-butter combo finishers. Combined with his own attacks, he deals a lot of damage in a short time, more so within The World, when he stops time.

His Story Mode in JoJo's Venture has him simply face off enemies until reaching Jotaro, with no storyline involved. In Heritage for the Future, the incarnation of evil, DIO awaits the arrival of the Joestar Group to annihilate his adversaries and become the ultimate being. Evil Incarnate DIO only appears in Kakyoin's Story Mode as the first stage, and Hol Horse's as the final.
In Super Story Mode on the PS1 version, after finishing Super Story Mode once, four extra stages are unlocked, adapting various characters' encounters with Evil Incarnate Dio.

Descendants of Jonathan... Destruction was the only path on which fate could lead you. He who conquerors the world yields to nothing. Not even fear. I have destroyed the Joestar bloodline, and in doing so, have eliminated the only reason to fear! Ha ha ha ha!

Polnareff recounts his meeting with DIO one year ago. DIO offered to relieve Polnareff of the memories that were troubling him, and implanted a flesh bud within him after battling him. Polnareff was then ordered to dispose of the Joestar group.

After the fight, Hol Horse puts his gun to DIO's head, but DIO somehow appears behind him. Praising his tenacity, DIO leaves Hol Horse to contemplate the overwhelming power of his Stand.
