The number of the grounded version's projectiles no longer vary based on the button inputted. The speed of the grounded version's projectiles is also much faster than it was in
All-Star Battle, with the recovery being noticeably faster as well. The pattern these projectiles are shot in is different too. Instead of keeping relatively the same grouped together pattern for the emeralds, the projectiles now have a horizontally spread out pattern, with the distance between the individual emeralds being more pronounced as the strength of the attack button inputted increases. As a result, the emeralds will now miss against shorter and crouching (unless they have their Stand summoned or are on their horse) opponents entirely. Additionally, the grounded
and
variants' projectiles no longer travel fullscreen, with the
variant traveling about three fourths of the screen while the
travels slightly farther.
When performing the aerial version, Kakyoin now performs a short jump backward after executing the skill, though he will still fall immediately to the ground if the skill is Stand Rushed.
