William de Gotland, also known as the Virtuous Friend of the King is a posthumous tertiary character featured in the short movie STAR BALLAD.

The topic od his statue located near the house of Heart Passion leads to Karamell Heaven telling William's story as an example of a virtous life.

History

Background

William was a farmer. He married a peasant girl Beatrice and had ten children with her. Only one of them survived the infancy. He and his family died during a war over land in Italy. Later, a statue in his honor was raised, known as the statue of the Virtous Friend of the King.

STAR BALLAD

During their talk, Heart Passion mentions to Karamell Heaven that he lives near the statue of the Virtous Friend of the King. She tells the story of William. When Heart Passion asks what was virtous about him, she states that "He was a comment man. Devout in faith."
