Morioh Grand Hotel (杜王グランドホテル, Moriō Gurando Hoteru) is a recurring location featured in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. It is a high-class hotel in which Jotaro Kujo and his grandfather Joseph Joestar reside during their time in Morioh.

Morioh Grand Hotel is featured in several media. It first appeared in Diamond is Unbreakable but is also featured in the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan spin-off series, as well as the Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak spin-off.

Summary

Morioh Grand Hotel is an elegant hotel full of history and located in the same area as many expensive villas in Morioh, Japan. The route to get there is by taking the bus for "Morioh Grand Swimming Area" from "Bus Stop #1" and then getting off at the "Morioh Grand Hotel" stop. From there, it's a short walk that takes less than a minute.[1] It takes 10 minutes to get to Morioh Station from Morioh Grand Hotel by taking a taxi.[2]

The hotel has been beloved for many years, having housed various travelers to Morioh. Its restaurant serves the town's specialty, beef tongue, which is considered superb.[1] The hotel also has a private beach with several benches, each having a parasol.[3]

In the anime, Morioh Grand Hotel is considered one of Morioh's landmarks.[1]

Diamond is Unbreakable

Jotaro's room

Jotaro stays in Room 324.[4][a] Joseph and Shizuka also stay in the hotel, but it is unknown whether they stay in Jotaro's room or have their own room. However, Rohan Kishibe's phone book has Joseph listed separately from Jotaro, implying Joseph's room is separate.[5] In the anime, Joseph is always shown with Jotaro at the hotel and the names on Rohan's phone book are not seen.[6][7]

Jotaro's room is shown to be luxurious with a row of windows providing a view of the town, two single antique chairs, a three-seater couch, a coffee table, a chandelier, and potted plants.[4] There is also a telephone which Jotaro commonly uses to communicate with his allies. In the anime, the floor of his room has an elegant design with a pattern of flowers.

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan

Gym on the 8th floor

Morioh Grand Hotel is the primary location in Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan - Episode 9: The Run. On the eighth floor of the hotel, there's a training gym where Rohan Kishibe and Yoma Hashimoto are members. The gym offers special services such as dedicated trainers and deals for bodybuilding equipment like protein powder. It includes cardio and strength training equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, weights, and pull-up machines.

Rohan and Yoma play a competition on the treadmills, where they compete to see who will be the first to grab the treadmill remote and press the emergency stop button once the treadmill accelerates to 25 km/h. Their competition leads to Yoma throwing a 20kg dumbbell at the window behind the treadmills, leaving a large hole.[8]

Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak

Morioh Grand Hotel compared to Koyo Grand Hotel

In Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak, Boingo stays at the hotel after traveling to Morioh with Hol Horse.[9] Compared to Jotaro's room, Boingo's room is much smaller with only a bed, three windows, a desk, chair, and computer.[10]

The lobby of the hotel is shown in more detail, with escalators and couches.[11] It bears a close resemblance to the real-life Koyo Grand Hotel in Sendai, Japan, including the Abduction of Persephone statue.[12]
